*238* The Zips - Radioactivity / I'm Not Impressed

A-Side: 'Radioactivity'
B-Side: 'I'm Not Impressed'

*237* Flicknife Sampler E.P.

First time heard about Flicknife Records was when I started collecting the Anagram Punk (Singles) Collection serie about 15 years ago. I remember it was a great moment hearing all these Punk tunes of bands like Last Rites, Major Accident, Erazerhead, Genocides, Urband Dogs and London Cowboys.

Did not listen to this E.P. for a long time and back then I bought it because of Urban Dogs and the awesome London Cowboys track. I never checked out the other tracks but now I really like'em (despite not sounding like the punkpowerpopmod stuff I'm usually listen to), too !

A-Side :
  LOST SONS - 'Dodge City'
  GROOVY CHAINSAWS - 'Ghost Rider'
JEREMY GLUCK - 'Burning Skulls Rise'
B-Side :
  URBAN DOGS - 'Monster Mash'
LONDON COWBOYS - 'Let's Get Crazy'
  HAWKWIND - 'Needle Gun'

*236* The Dealers - Don't Touch That Dial

A-Side : 'Don't Touch That Dial'
AA-Side : 'Tracey'

*235* PVC - Mystery Gang / Satellite

Here we have the German Punk heroes PVC with a later (1982) release that sounds more like Hard Rock New Wave than Punkrock.

A-Side : 'Girl On Page 3'
B-Side : 'Grammar School Girls'

First time I came across Paul Warren & Explorer ‎was when I found this Power Pop killer : 'One Of The Kids' on Youtube. 'Takin' Her Back' is also great but 'Town Without Pity' is too weak in my eyes (to Pop Rockish), but you yourself can decide what you think :

A-Side : 'Cabaret'
B-Side : 'Drag It Back'

(If you still did not read it, check out this Jimmy Edwards interview.)

*198* Channel 4 - Vampire / Channel 4

Hard to find single. The single came out on the private (band's own) Ripping Records (RIP 1). Interesting sound on Side A - some people call it Power Pop but ... hmm ... I don't know. B-Side is a nice instrumental.

A-Side : 'Vampire'
B-Side : 'Channel 4'
