Ok here we go ...
Hello Punkrockers, PowerPoppers, Glamrockers, PostPunk&NewWave Fans, Mods, Bootboys and Herberts !
Hello Punkrockers, PowerPoppers, Glamrockers, PostPunk&NewWave Fans, Mods, Bootboys and Herberts !
After doing nothing for the internet community for a long time (a very very old project of mine you find here: www.punklyrics.info) and enjoying the work done by other people (especially all the interesting blog postings that haven been coming up over the last years) I decided it's time to start my own blog.
First of all : this will be mainly a Youtube posting blog - Why? Because we are the Hear-It-On-Youtube - Generation ! Yes ! That's true !
Anytime we are looking for a special song sticking in our head, wanna hear our favorite(s), check an unknown number that just came across us, etc. - What we are doing in this moment? --- Do we browse our record collection and put the record we found(?) on our turntable or CD player? - NO! Do we browse our gigabytes of mp3 files? - NO! --- Mostly we are online, connected to the internet - the biggest music data base ever existed! So instead of making our lives more difficult ;) we actually (mostly) check Google and finally Youtube for it ! Not until this fails we start with the first or second option ! (Ok, in case I'm certain to have the stuff on vinyl I'm spinning that record for sure!)
Another trend exists for quite some time now: Youtube posts in every social network ! After logging in your social network account you can bet your ass that there will be a new Youtube music video posting from one of your "friends'" self-appointed social network DJ. This can be annoying and even drive you crazy but is a good chance to be remembered that there is some great stuff you have not heard for a long time or to get familiar with new fantastic music.
So what is my intention to write this blog ? Basically my intention is not to write a blog but to provide the Hear-It-On-Youtube - Generation with some more nice tunes that are worth to be listened to. This will be stuff I have not found on Youtube before, mainly some 7inch B-sides no one posted there. So this blog comes along with my Youtube posts on :
and will give some additional information and details about the stuff I will post there ...
Stop, one thing left to say : The stuff I will post here is recorded by my own with a digital camera ! So do not expect Hi-Fi sound quality. But I think it will be good enough to get an impression what the records sound like.
So if you like what you hear, buy the record! If you do not like it, hear it again and again till you will love it ;) ... (I hope people that like my blog will never really dislike any of the records I post here ;) !)
Have fun ... let's listen to some great tunes on Youtube ...
